This International Foundation Year - Engineering Route is a one-year foundation year (level 0) programme taught at National Qualification Framework (NQF) level 3. The International Foundation Year - Engineering Route provides a firm grounding in the subjects required for the students' intended undergraduate degree programmes. Those who successfully complete the International Foundation Year by achieving specific grades are admitted to level 1 of one of a wide range of engineering-related undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University of Leeds. Learning and teaching
You will be taught by University of Leeds academics typically within the departments which specialise in the modules you are studying. You will study through lectures, group work, examples classes and laboratory work where appropiate. This is all alongside a comprehensive Academic Study Skills module which will enable you to develop appropiate engineering-related academic study skills so that you can succeed in your future degree. You will be assigned a tutor who you will meet with regularly. You will have access to the range of extensive libraries and learning resources we have on campus.
On this course you’ll be taught by our expert academics, from lecturers through to professors. You may also be taught by industry professionals with years of experience, as well as trained postgraduate researchers, connecting you to some of the brightest minds on campus.
